The MidNite Solar MNSPD-300-AC is an AC-side surge protection device, sized for 120/240VAC circuits, that protects your inverter, loads, and connected equipment from lightning-induced and switching surges coming through the AC wiring. It's a low-cost way to protect a much more expensive inverter and downstream electronics from a single bad surge event.
