The MidNite Solar MNSPD-600 is a DC surge protection device that shunts lightning-induced and switching surges away from your inverter, charge controller, and other sensitive DC equipment — cheap insurance against a single close lightning strike destroying thousands of dollars in solar electronics. Install it at the combiner box, inverter, or charge controller DC input for the best protection.
