The Sterling Power BB1248120 is a high-power buck-boost DC-DC charger that steps a 12V starter/alternator system up to charge a 48V lithium or lead-acid battery bank — the higher-power sibling of Sterling's BB124865 for larger 48V systems that need faster charging. Built-in reverse charging automatically tops up the starter battery from the 48V bank when it's running low, and a dedicated Jump Start Assist mode can help get an engine started in an emergency without a separate jump pack.
