Victron Orion XS 12/12-70 Non-Isolated DC-DC Battery Charger

The Orion XS 12/12-70 is the highest-output model in Victron's latest generation of smart DC-DC chargers — 70A and up to 1000W of charging power from the same compact housing as the 50A unit. It charges a 12V house battery bank from a vehicle alternator or other 12V source, with built-in engine shutdown detection so it works correctly on modern vehicles with variable-voltage smart alternators, no external sensor required. The adaptive four-stage charging algorithm (Bulk, Absorption, Float, Storage) keeps both lead-acid and lithium banks properly maintained. Configure and monitor it over Bluetooth or VE.Direct with the VictronConnect app, or fold it into a larger Victron system via DVCC with a GX device. Units can be paralleled without limit for higher charge currents.

Installation note: unlike the IP65 Orion XS 12/12-50, the 70A model is rated IP20 and uses an external cooling fan. It is intended for installation in a dry indoor location only — inside the van or coach, not in an exposed engine bay or on an open deck.
