The VE.Bus BMS V2 is a Battery Management System designed to interface with and protect one or more Victron Lithium Battery Smart 12.8V and 25.6V (LiFePO4) batteries in systems built around Victron inverters or inverter/chargers with VE.Bus communication. It continuously monitors and protects the battery bank against over-voltage and under-voltage at the individual cell level, as well as over-temperature and under-temperature conditions.

Based on battery status, the VE.Bus BMS will:

  • Generate a pre-alarm signal to warn of an imminent cell under-voltage condition
  • Disable inverting in VE.Bus inverters/inverter-chargers and disconnect other loads via the Load Disconnect terminal on a cell under-voltage event
  • Disable charging in VE.Bus inverters/inverter-chargers and disconnect other chargers via the Charge Disconnect terminal on cell overvoltage, under-temperature, or over-temperature
  • Provide remote on/off terminals
  • Disable VE.Direct and VE.Can solar chargers via a connected GX device
  • Allow control of the VE.Bus inverter/charger from multiple devices, including the Digital Multi Control, VE.Bus Smart dongle, and/or a GX device
  • Power a GX device through auxiliary input/output terminals even during a system shutdown
